Ex-MPA Shahryar Shar Accuses DIG Pir Mohammad Shah and SHO Shakur Lako of Attack

Former Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Shahryar Shar has made serious allegations against law enforcement officials, claiming that SHO Shakur Lako played a key role in a murderous attack on his life. Shar revealed that the attack was carried out by a private force allegedly formed by DIG Pir Mohammad Shah, consisting of three groups.

Shar emphasized that he does not associate with criminal elements, explicitly stating that award-winning criminal Umar Shar was not present at the time of the attack. He recalled a troubling history with SHO Lako, who registered over ten cases against him at Riti police station between 2009 and 2011, during which Pir Mohammad Shah served as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).

The former MPA expressed concerns over the transparency of the investigation into the attack, stating, "In the presence of DIG Pir Mohammad Shah, the attack on me could not be investigated transparently." He shared that, during the incident, he contacted SSP Ghotki, requesting not to send Lako, fearing for his life. "I told SSP Ghotki that Lako would kill me and claim that Shahryar Shar was martyred before my arrival," he alleged.

As tensions rise in the region, Shar's claims highlight ongoing issues of political violence and accountability within law enforcement agencies in Pakistan.
