Pakistan Condemns Israeli Strikes on Iran, Calls for UN Action

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has strongly condemned what it called “unjustified and illegitimate aggression” by Israel against Iran, urging the international community and the United Nations to uphold international law and immediately halt the strikes.

Speaking at the weekly media briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said, “The Israeli military strikes violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran and clearly contravene the UN Charter and fundamental principles of international law.”

He underscored that Iran reserves the right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter and that the international community must not remain silent in the face of such violations.

“Pakistan stands in resolute solidarity with the people of Iran and unequivocally denounces these blatant provocations,” he added, warning that the attacks pose a grave threat to regional and global peace and security.

The Foreign Office called on the United Nations and other global stakeholders to not only halt the hostilities but also hold Israel accountable for actions that could escalate into a broader regional conflict.

This statement comes amid rising regional tensions following Israeli strikes that Iran claims targeted key infrastructure and civilian areas.

Pakistan’s call adds to the growing list of countries demanding restraint and immediate diplomatic engagement to prevent further escalation in the already volatile Middle East.
