POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has expressed optimism regarding the release of PTI founder Imran Khan before Eid, saying that the party continues to pursue all legal avenues to secure his freedom.
Speaking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Barrister Gohar said:
“We hope Imran Khan will be released before Eid. The case is expected to be fixed soon. Our people are tired after enduring two years of uncertainty and injustice.”
He acknowledged the growing frustration among PTI supporters over the prolonged incarceration of their leader and urged them to remain patient.
“It’s natural for workers to raise questions. Their emotions are valid, but we must stay disciplined. Imran Khan is making every possible effort from prison, and we are active in Parliament, courts, and on the streets,” he added.
The PTI chairman said the judiciary is also under pressure, with judges growing weary of writing decision after decision on political cases.
“We are demanding that all cases against Imran Khan be heard and decided on merit. Justice delayed is justice denied,” he said.
Barrister Gohar concluded by reiterating Imran Khan’s message of hope and faith in Allah:
“Imran Khan always reminds us: we worship Allah and ask only Him for help. Allah will show us the way.”
