Provincial Assembly Funds: No increase proposed
Salary Increases:
30% increase for Grade 1 to 6 employees
25% increase for Grade 7 to 16 employees
22% increase for Grade 17 to 22 employees
Minimum Salary: Proposed increase to 37 thousand rupees
Pension Increase: 15%
Luxury Tax: Up to 45 thousand rupees on imported vehicles (1500 to 3000 cc)
Restaurant Payments: 5% less tax on payments made via debit or credit card
Benazir Kisan Card: 8 billion rupees allocated
Higher Education: 30 billion 60 crore rupees allocated
Sindh Police Allowance: 10 thousand rupees special allowance for Kacha area
Solar Panels: Provision of free solar panels to 2.6 million households
Clean Water: 10 billion rupees allocated for clean water provision
Karachi Circular Railway: 4.5 crore rupees allocated
Benazir Mazdoor Card: 5 billion rupees allocated
Sindh Rangers: 6 billion 10 crore rupees allocated
Chief Minister's Remarks:
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, hoping for continued cooperation. He emphasized that the Sindh government, elected for the fourth consecutive term, is dedicated to serving the province with significant budgetary allocations aimed at development and welfare.
Opposition's Reaction:
During the budget presentation, opposition members chanted slogans and demanded that the speech be delivered in Urdu. However, the Speaker dismissed the objection, and the Chief Minister continued his speech in English.
