Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has admitted that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down five Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft during the recent military confrontation.

Speaking in an interview, Swamy expressed dissatisfaction with India's war preparedness and air defence capabilities. He criticized the performance of Chinese and French aircraft used by the IAF, calling both ineffective in combat situations.

"Pakistan has shot down five of our jets. Neither Chinese nor French aircraft have lived up to expectations. And under Modi’s government, there is no possibility of a fair investigation into this incident," said Swamy.

He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to take responsibility and resign, claiming their flawed strategy had embarrassed India on the military front.

Swamy’s statements come amid a growing chorus of criticism from defence analysts and experts who claim the Pakistan Air Force outmaneuvered the Indian Air Force, rendering Modi’s war strategy ineffective.

"India’s war planning has failed. Pakistan not only intercepted our drones and jets, but also responded decisively. Modi's aggressive posture has collapsed under real combat pressure," said a senior Indian defence expert.

Swamy said the truth must be presented to the Indian public, urging full transparency regarding the losses suffered during the conflict.

The admission from within Modi’s own party has triggered political shockwaves, with opposition parties demanding answers and accountability from the BJP-led government.
