FC Jawan Martyred in Orakzai Terror Attack by Fitna-ul-Khawarij

A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was martyred in the early hours of Monday after a deadly attack by Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorists on a joint police and FC check post in the Pandiali area of Orakzai tehsil.

According to police officials, the attack occurred around 2:30 am, when terrorists opened fire on the joint checkpoint manned by personnel of the Dwizai Sheesh Mahal police and the Frontier Corps. The assault claimed the life of Lance Naik Liaquat, who embraced martyrdom while defending the post.

Following the attack, the terrorists managed to flee under the cover of darkness. Security forces, along with local police, swiftly launched a joint search and clearance operation in the area to track down the attackers and restore security.

Officials have attributed the attack to elements of Fitna-ul-Khawarij, a term used for militant extremists involved in destabilizing the region. The incident underscores the persistent threat of terrorism in tribal districts bordering Afghanistan, where security forces frequently confront armed insurgents.

Tributes have poured in for the martyred soldier, with local officials and community members honoring his sacrifice. Authorities have vowed that the perpetrators will be brought to justice and that operations will continue until peace is fully restored in the region.

This incident follows a string of recent attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan targeting law enforcement and paramilitary personnel, highlighting the ongoing challenges in Pakistan's fight against terrorism.
