Islamabad — Gentry Beach, the head of the delegation of American investors visiting Pakistan, and a key business partner of the Trump family, has sought to clarify recent comments made by Richard Grenell, a former senior official in the Trump administration. Beach explained that Grenell’s statements, which were seen as critical of Pakistan, were influenced by deepfake technology, misleading him about the current state of the country.

Speaking to reporters, Beach expressed optimism about the evolving relationship between the United States and Pakistan, stressing that the Trump administration now has a better understanding of Pakistan than ever before.
