Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan was granted a 45-minute meeting with his three sisters — Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan, and Noreen Khanum — at Adiala Jail on Tuesday. This marks the first in-person visit in over two months for Aleema Khan, who regularly visits the incarcerated former premier.

The visit coincided with a designated meeting day for political and legal teams. Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, PTI Chairman, and lawyers Salman Safdar and Zaheer Abbas Chaudhry were also permitted to meet Imran Khan. However, Khan’s cousin Qasim Khan was not allowed to enter.

Visits to Bushra Bibi:

In a separate meeting, Mehr-un-Nisa, sister-in-law of Bushra Bibi, was allowed to meet the former First Lady. The meetings took place under strict security arrangements in and around Adiala Jail, especially at Gorakhpur and Dahgal checkpoints, where additional police contingents were deployed.

PTI Workers Gather in Solidarity:

A large number of PTI workers gathered near Gorakhpur checkpoint to express solidarity with their leader. Speaking to the media, Malik Ahmed Bachhar, a PTI leader, stated:

“The entire nation stands with the Pakistan Army. The armed forces have responded bravely to Indian aggression. What some called ‘digital terrorists’ yesterday are actually the true patriots of today.”

He also referenced the social media clampdown, referring to it as a “firewall,” and emphasized that national unity is crucial during current challenges.
