Sanaa International Airport has come under attack once again, with Houthi officials reporting that Israel fired four missiles targeting the facility. The strike resulted in the destruction of a passenger plane and caused severe damage to the airport’s runway, further disrupting its operations.
This recent assault is the second in less than a month, following a May 6 bombing that also targeted Sanaa Airport, leaving it inoperable for over a week before emergency repairs allowed partial reactivation.
The latest attack raises concerns over the continuing instability and escalating tensions in the region, further impacting civilian infrastructure and humanitarian conditions in Yemen.
No official comment has yet been made by Israeli authorities regarding the attack.
