CRIME

A local court on Monday sent four suspects, including two TikTokers, to jail on judicial remand in a high-profile robbery case involving the theft of over Rs130 million in the PECHS Society area of Karachi.
The accused — identified as Yasra, Nimra, Shehryar, and Shahroz — have been formally named in the case and will remain in jail pending further proceedings. The court has directed authorities to submit a challan (charge sheet) at the next hearing.
The Robbery
According to police officials, the house robbery took place on the night of June 26, when the accused allegedly stormed a residence in PECHS and fled with a massive haul, including:
· Rs130 million in cash
· Luxury wristwatches
· Laptops
· Expensive mobile phones
Investigators revealed that one of the accused was dressed in a fake FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) uniform, complete with an official-looking logo, to deceive and intimidate the residents during the heist.
Ongoing Investigation
The case has sparked significant public interest due to the involvement of social media influencers, as well as the staggering amount of money and valuables stolen. Authorities are now probing the source of the suspects’ knowledge about the targeted home, and whether any inside help was involved.
The police are continuing efforts to recover the stolen items and trace any accomplices who may have assisted in the crime or facilitated the getaway.
The court will review the case again at the next hearing, once the complete challan is submitted by the investigating officer.
