Major Reshuffle in Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Key Appointments and Retirements Announced

Islamabad is set to witness significant changes in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as key appointments and retirements are announced. Sources confirm that Foreign Secretary Cyrus Sajjad Qazi is preparing to retire, with Ambassador to the European Union Amina Baloch slated to succeed him in the role of Foreign Secretary.
In addition to the leadership change, there will be several other high-profile appointments. Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the current Foreign Office Spokesperson, will be appointed as the Ambassador to France. Meanwhile, Janbaz Khan Brunei and Mohammad Saleem will take on the roles of Ambassadors of Pakistan to Canada.
Further adjustments include Muhammad Farooq, the Pakistani Ambassador to Kuwait, being promoted to High Commissioner to South Africa. Faisal Niaz, currently posted in the UAE, will be appointed as the new Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union.
These changes mark a notable shift in Pakistan’s diplomatic landscape, with new representatives set to play crucial roles in shaping the country’s foreign relations and policy direction in the coming months.
