A tragic road accident in the early hours of Monday claimed the life of a motorcyclist in the Korangi Industrial Area of Karachi. The incident occurred near Vita Chowrangi, where a water tanker fatally struck the rider.

The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Muhammad Hashim. According to rescue sources, the collision was severe, resulting in Hashim dying on the spot. His body was initially shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities and later moved to a cold storage facility.

Emergency responders said the accident happened early in the morning when the roads were relatively empty. Authorities are currently working to locate and inform the family of the deceased.

Residents and commuters have once again raised concerns over reckless driving and poor regulation of heavy vehicles in the Korangi Industrial Area, a zone that has seen frequent road mishaps involving tankers and trucks.
