6 Injured in Gas Cylinder Blast in Karachi's Baldia Town

At least six people, including a woman, sustained injuries in a gas cylinder explosion in the Raees Goth area of Baldia Town, Karachi, on Tuesday. The blast occurred due to gas leakage, triggering a powerful explosion that led to the collapse of a wall in the affected house.

According to rescue officials, the explosion caused significant damage to the structure and inflicted burn injuries on the victims. Rescue teams reached the site promptly and launched emergency operations, clearing debris and shifting the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

All six injured persons are currently under treatment, and the extent of their injuries is being assessed.

Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the leakage and to prevent such accidents in the future. Safety experts continue to urge residents to ensure proper maintenance of gas cylinders and avoid using damaged or expired equipment in residential areas.

The incident has once again raised concerns over gas safety standards in densely populated urban areas like Baldia Town, where many homes rely on gas cylinders due to inconsistent pipeline supply.
