Bajaur Enforces Curfew in Mamond Tehsil Amid Targeted Operation

Authorities in Bajaur district have imposed a curfew across multiple areas of Tehsil Mamond from today until August 14 in connection with a targeted security operation.

According to the district administration, the curfew will be enforced daily in 27 areas of Mamond from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. Residents have been advised to conclude all outdoor activities by 10:30 am and remain indoors during the curfew hours. Officials warned that failure to comply could result in residents being held responsible for any untoward incidents.

The region has already witnessed the displacement of numerous families in recent days. To accommodate those affected, the district administration has vacated 107 government schools and colleges for temporary shelter. Additionally, a relief camp consisting of 450 tents has been established at the Bajaur Sports Complex.

The targeted operation is part of ongoing efforts to maintain security in the area, though authorities have yet to release specific details about the nature of the operation.
