Fazlur Rehman Vows Support for Iran, Slams Israel in Hyderabad Million March

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has strongly condemned Israel's attack on Iran and declared unwavering support for the Iranian people during a fiery address at the Million March organized by JUI in Hyderabad.

In his address to thousands of supporters, Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated, “We are not just condemning Israel's aggressive attack on Iran — we are standing with Iran.” Emphasizing peace over conflict, he said, “We are not supporters of war, but advocates for peace. Peace is essential — without it, there’s no economy, no business, and no education.”

Touching on Sindh's unrest, the JUI-F leader acknowledged the grievances of the local population and called for calm, stating that every member of Jamiat is in the field to establish peace across the province.

Maulana Fazl also delivered a scathing critique of Israel’s actions, calling the state a “cancer in the Islamic world” and accusing Israeli forces of perpetrating genocide in Gaza. “Israel has been bombing Gaza for the past one and a half years, killing over 60,000 people. Which UN resolution allows this slaughter?” he asked.

He criticized the United Nations as being subservient to the U.S., saying, “The UN makes decisions on America's instructions. Netanyahu is a war criminal. The International Court of Justice has ordered his arrest, but no Western power is willing to act.”

Drawing historical comparisons, he questioned, “When Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait, the U.S. invaded and hanged him. Why is Israel being protected?”

Reiterating his commitment to the broader Muslim cause, Maulana Fazl warned, “If Iran is under attack today, tomorrow it could be Saudi Arabia or Pakistan.” He pledged that “if anyone dares to look toward the Haramain, every Muslim will be ready to sacrifice his life.”

The JUI-F chief concluded with a passionate call to unity across the Islamic world: “Iran is part of our Islamic community. We will not stay silent while it is attacked.”
