POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has underscored the pivotal role his party played in advancing Pakistan’s strategic and economic capabilities. Speaking to media upon his arrival in London, Nawaz Sharif highlighted that the PML-N made Pakistan a nuclear power, facilitated missile technology, and collaborated with China to build the JF-17 fighter jet.
Nawaz Sharif stated that the PML-N is steadily improving the country’s situation, which had deteriorated under the previous government. “The country’s conditions are improving and the economy is on the rise,” he said. He emphasized that voters cast their ballots for effective governance and that political work must go hand in hand with tangible results.
Reflecting on his tenure, Nawaz Sharif pointed out that the Pakistani rupee remained stable for four years, and the economy experienced growth rates nearing 7%. He reiterated the party’s contribution to Pakistan’s defense capabilities, citing the country’s nuclear power status and the successful development of the JF-17 aircraft in collaboration with China.
The former prime minister is in London to undergo a medical examination and is expected to celebrate Eid there.
