Oxford University journalism professor Rasmus Kleis-Nielsen exposed the ongoing spread of false and fabricated news by Indian media targeting Pakistan, further escalating regional tensions.

Professor Kleis-Nielsen criticized the Indian media for portraying fake victories against Pakistan and broadcasting unrealistic war scenes that mislead the Indian public. According to his analysis, this disinformation campaign has not only distorted facts but also degraded human values by labeling the entire Pakistani population as terrorists.

The article highlights the Indian government’s aggressive censorship measures, including the shutdown of thousands of social media accounts linked to Pakistan. Even reputed international platforms like BBC Urdu and The Wire have faced restrictions amid this crackdown.

One of the key false claims propagated by Indian media is that Pakistan recently attacked terrorist sanctuaries near the Indian border, reportedly killing nine terrorists. Pakistan has categorically denied these allegations, calling them baseless and fabricated.
