Pakistan Army Airlifts Hasan Shigri’s Body and Rescues Stranded Climbers in Heroic Operations

The Pakistan Army conducted a series of heroic operations to airlift the body of Hasan Shigri, who tragically passed away during last year's K2 expedition, and rescue several stranded climbers.

Hasan Shigri's body, which was successfully transported from K2's Bottleneck to the base camp by a team of Pakistani climbers, was airlifted to Skardu by the Pakistan Army through a special helicopter operation. Shigri’s body was respectfully and swiftly returned to his home, providing closure to his grieving family.

In addition to this operation, the Pakistan Army's helicopter also conducted a rescue mission for four Italian climbers, airlifting them from the K2 base camp to Skardu. The prompt and efficient rescue ensured the safety and well-being of the climbers.

Moreover, another helicopter mission successfully rescued two British climbers who were stranded on Nanga Parbat. They were transported to a safe location, demonstrating the Pakistan Army's commitment to saving lives and providing aid in extreme conditions.

These operations underscore the Pakistan Army's dedication to humanitarian efforts and its capability to execute complex rescue missions in some of the world's most challenging terrains.
