TikToker Muqtar Abbas was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Jalalpur Jatan area of Gujrat, Punjab, late Sunday evening.

According to initial reports from the Punjab Police, motorcycle-riding suspects chased the victim and opened fire, killing him on the spot. After the deadly attack, the attackers fled the scene, evading arrest. Police officials confirmed that the body was recovered and has been shifted to a nearby hospital for autopsy.

The motive behind the murder is still unclear, and a search operation is underway to apprehend the culprits. Authorities say raids are being conducted at various locations based on intelligence reports.

This shocking incident comes amid growing concerns over the safety of content creators and influencers in Pakistan. It is worth noting that earlier this year, another TikToker, Sana Yousuf, was brutally murdered in her own home in Islamabad, sparking public outrage and raising questions about the increasing trend of violence against social media figures.

The Punjab Police have vowed to bring the killers to justice and are examining CCTV footage from the area. The local community and online followers of Muqtar Abbas have called for a thorough investigation and swift legal action.
