Two Notorious Suspects Arrested in Injured Condition After Exchange of Fire with Police

Two suspects with extensive criminal records were arrested in injured conditions following separate shootouts with police in Lodhran and Kahror Pakka, according to official police statements and FIRs registered under the Pakistan Penal Code.

Kahror Pakka Incident

A first information report (FIR) was registered at City Kahror Pakka Police Station on behalf of the state under Sections 324 (attempt to murder), 353 (assault on public servant), 186 (obstructing a public servant), and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

According to the FIR, the Crime Control Department (CCD) was tipped off about the presence of three armed suspects near Khudai Phatak. As officers approached, the suspects opened direct fire, prompting police to respond with aerial firing.

Two suspects managed to escape under the cover of darkness on a motorcycle, while one was found injured near a railway track. The suspect, later identified as Gul Sher, a resident of Karpal, Bahawalpur, was arrested. A pistol and 30-bore rounds were recovered from him.

Police officials confirmed that Gul Sher has a criminal record involving 15 cases, including murder, attempted murder, robbery, and resisting arrest. He is also listed as a proclaimed offender in a case registered at Musafir Khana Police Station, Bahawalpur.

Lodhran Incident

In a separate case, CCD Lodhran arrested a suspect identified as Imran alias Imran Khoja following an exchange of gunfire near Aibak Mor. An FIR was lodged under the same PPC sections as the Kahror Pakka incident.

The FIR states that police were informed of two armed men spotted in the area. Upon arrival, officers came under direct fire from three suspects. A gun battle ensued, during which Imran was wounded, allegedly by friendly fire from his own accomplices, and was later arrested. A pistol and ammunition were recovered from him.

Imran, police said, has a criminal history of over 30 cases, including armed robbery, and has been previously nominated in multiple FIRs.

Two of his accomplices fled during the operation by escaping into nearby crop fields, and police teams have since blocked all exit routes and launched a manhunt.

Ongoing Investigations

Police officials stated that both suspects are undergoing medical treatment and will be presented in court after recovery. Raids are being conducted to apprehend the remaining fugitives.

Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to a crackdown on repeat offenders and proclaimed criminals, especially those involved in organized violent crime.
