A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday when a petrol tank exploded at a mini petrol pump within the jurisdiction of Alipur Chatha police station, Wazirabad, leaving six people severely burnt. According to initial reports, the condition of five of the victims is said to be critical.

The explosion triggered a massive fire, sending thick clouds of smoke into the sky and causing panic in the surrounding area. Eyewitnesses reported a loud blast followed by flames engulfing the site, with no time for those nearby to escape the inferno.

Emergency teams from Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene after receiving the alert and are working to bring the fire under control. Firefighters are currently battling the blaze to prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
