POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

Quetta: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, addressing the Million March event in Quetta, reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to its independence and territorial integrity.
He asserted that the natural resources of Balochistan belong to its people, just as those of Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa belong to theirs, emphasizing no one has the right to seize them.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman praised the public turnout wherever the JUI convoy traveled, saying the party has raised the voice of the Muslim Ummah. He recalled India’s attack on Pakistan, lauding the response by Pakistani soldiers.
The JUI chief condemned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for supporting Israel during the Gaza attacks, labeling Israel as Pakistan’s enemy from day one and accusing India of acting as Israel’s representative.
He criticized the government’s alleged intentions to recognize Israel, reaffirming that JUI’s stance is firmly against it and that the people of Gaza are not alone. He vowed that if permitted by the rulers, they will “beat Israel brick by brick.”
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also dismissed allegations blaming Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident, highlighting Modi’s failure to resolve disputes through force and asserting Pakistan’s resilience.
