Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on a one-day visit to participate in an important jirga focused on addressing the law and order situation in Balochistan.
According to aviation sources, Acting Governor Balochistan Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, and other senior provincial officials warmly welcomed the Prime Minister at Quetta Airport.
The jirga, scheduled for today, will be attended by key tribal and political leaders from across Balochistan, alongside the Prime Minister, Governor, Chief Minister, provincial ministers, and members of the provincial assembly. The gathering aims to discuss the overall security scenario and explore measures to restore peace and stability in the province.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is set to engage with the provincial leadership, taking them into confidence on various pressing issues impacting Balochistan. Additionally, the Prime Minister plans to visit those injured in the recent Sorab blast, demonstrating the federal government’s commitment to supporting affected communities.
This visit underscores the government's resolve to collaborate closely with provincial and tribal leaders to ensure peace, security, and development in Balochistan amid ongoing challenges.
